Ultrasound and first appointment with the midwife

Ultrasound went great! I was only off by 1 day, making me 8 weeks exactly today. Baby had a 162 bpm heart rate and everything looks great! They started with an abdominal ultrasound and then switched to a transvaginal ultrasound to get a better view! The appointment with the midwife went great! Just got a pap smear done and she answered any questions I had. I'll be getting a call later this week to schedule the first trimester screening. Excited to get another peak at the baby! We also told my husband's family today by having our daughter hand them the ultrasound pictures! :) it was a long day and I am exhausted! But I'm also relieved to know everything is going as it should be!
