Fetal Doppler

Late journal entry for me... We had a lazy day today and took a late nap, so me and DD are still wide awake. Although I am fading fast while she's still going strong...

Anyway, I should be getting a fetal doppler on Sunday! A woman on one of my Mom Swap groups on Facebook was getting rid of hers for $20. It looks like a Sonoline B doppler and I'm really excited! She said she got it at 12 weeks and was able to pick up the heartbeat then. I've seen Youtube videos where people have found it as early as 8 weeks, it just took them a while. Hopefully I'll be able to hear baby's heartbeat when I get it. :) I figured, a used doppler can't be worse than the ones they use at my midwife's office. I'll definitely be cleaning this one once I get it (obviously). =P

No one ever called me this week to schedule my First Trimester Screening and when I remembered, their office was already closed. They have a specialist that comes in once a month to do them, otherwise they refer you to a high risk office that does the testing (that's what they did my last pregnancy, since my first official appointment with the midwife was around 10 weeks). I'll give them a call Monday afternoon if they haven't called sometime Monday. I'm just mainly anxious for another peek at baby. :)

The Sonoline B is great. During my last pregnancy I was able to find it (after at least an hour!) at 8w4d. This time I haven't been able to find it yet... I am determined to not let it bother me since I know it is so early. Let us know if you find it! (And seriously, as you know, don't worry if you can't!)

Lol no worries! Hopefully you can sell yours soon! :) Hearing the heartbeat was always my favorite part of every appointment. My hubby wasn't as excited as I was every time, which I thought was annoying! Lol

Lol yeah guys don't understand. It's TOTALLY necessary lol!! I literally only used mine a couple weeks though and now I feel like I shouldn't have spent that much money on it lol...
And wow, I didn't even think of Ebay haha. Preggo brain is scrambled!

I do remember with my first pregnancy that they couldn't pick up the heartbeat with the doppler at 10 weeks and had to take me in to get an ultrasound! The midwife warned me before she tried that we may not find the heartbeat and not to worry! We'll see how early I can pick up the heartbeat this time :) Kitten90, I hadn't seen too many for sale before on any of my Mom Swap groups recently. I considered ordering a new one, but my hubby doesn't like to spend money on things he doesn't think are necessary (he doesn't understand! lol). It even took some convincing to get this one for $20. Hopefully you can find someone who wants one soon! Have you listed on Ebay? My husband sells so much stuff on Ebay, lol.

Last time I was at the OB, my midwife still couldn't find the heartbeat on their doppler so they have had to use the ultrasound machine, which I guess is more sensitive. I was, like, 14 weeks.

I've been trying to sell mine forever now lol! Same price too. I paid about $40 including the shipping and it was literally only used about 10 times and I can't find anyone who wants one lol

You will love the doppler. I have to Sonoline B as well. I couldn't find the heart beat that early and it took me until about 15ish weeks so don't get discouraged if you don't find it right away (I have extra "fluff" though).
