We Have a Date!!

I went in for my bi-weekly appointment and all is good - and my doctor has it scheduled at the hospital. July 18th 1130a is when my sweet baby girl will be here! I am so excited!! It's going to be a long surgery and she said all the specialists that need to be there will be there. The head of OB Oncology, my OB (they all tell me best surgeon in Ohio), head of anesthesiology, NICU unit, other specialists and they will have 4 units of blood on the ready in case I need transfusions (let's hope not). I also start NST's Friday - so I'll be in the office twice a week from here on out! Less than a month and my baby girl will be here! Having mixed emotions. I am so ready for her, but scared for her delivery. Will she need to go to the NICU? Will I bleed out because the accreta is actually percreta? Will I go to the ICU because I needed transfusions? Good thing is I'll be under completely for the entire surgery so time won't be an issue, but waking up alone in the recovery room will be pretty hard. I am nervous to say the least.

The doctors have everything planned out and it sounds like they are covering all their bases. July 18th is a great birthday - you can plan birthday parties for your girl at the pool and do water balloons, and lots of summer fun! Congrats on your last month. I'm sure everything will work out. |
