31 + 3 wks - Exhausted and Baby Girl Movin' and Groovin'

Had my GD follow up appt. and everything looks great. They were happy with my numbers and told me to keep doing what I was doing. I explained about the bad monitor and showed them the difference - they wrote down the brand name so they could advise other moms not to buy it. All good there.

I'm doing everything the same, eating, resting when I can, but my BP keeps dropping which makes me dizzy and nauseous and I have to lay down for a long time to recover. I average about 100/60, but about 3 times a week after I eat, it drops to 90/48 or so and wipes me out. I called it in the first time, but because baby was moving fine, they just told me to lay down and drink water - and I was doing that anyway. Now I just don't bother calling it in. I'm wondering if it'll stop though. I'm hydrated. Blood sugar is good. I read that with some people, the blood can go to the gut to digest food and cause temporary low BP - which I think is the problem. Unfortunately, I can't get anyone to be as concerned about it as I am.

I've always had low BP, pregnant or non-pregnant, and I'm a fainter because of it. It's a major genetic problem in my family. My nephew has it so bad, he'll go into seizures when he faints and it's unpredictable when it happens. Everyone is so concerned with the complication of high BP, they don't care about low bp which can also be dangerous - just no doctors know anything about it. It's very frustrating because it affects my life so much.

Baby girl I think has wandered down head first this morning, which is the first time she's moved positions in weeks. She's still moving and kicking so hard she makes me jump - which is so nice. My first son did that all the time, but Oscar never did. He'd roll but I think he was always weak. I think little girl is strong! I find out next week if she's BIG and strong or is still staying petite. Wish me luck! I'm still not gaining any weight, but at least I'm not losing it now. I'm hoping she's made progress and is over her last measurement of 25th percentile. I'd like her closer to 50 before I deliver. I have no energy, despite vitamins, iron supplements, blood sugar monitoring and enough carbs - I"m just wiped. The next 7 weeks need to fly by - I need her safe and in my arms.

I’m so glad your girl is super active!! I really hope your BP stays in a normal range. I’m sure that’s scary. You’re getting close!! I understand your fear about having a small baby. They predicted my first was 4 pounds at 34 weeks but she ended up only 3 pounds 14 ounces at 36 weeks. But she’s fine. I hope they take you seriously and I hope baby keeps growing to a healthy size!!!!!
