I Passed!

My OB's office called today and I am negative for gestational diabetes. Yay! I am so thrilled. Also, my iron and thyroid levels are normal. Hallelujah! As if I wasn't happy enough, Care Bear's heart is perfect but I have to have yet another ultrasound at my next appointment at twenty-eight weeks. Apparently, if my placenta is too close to my cervix (within two centimeters) I will need to schedule another delivery by caesarean and mine is three centimeters. My midwife is not as concerned as the tech , she believes it'll be pulled farther away as my uterus grows. Speaking of that wondrous little organ, mine is measuring at twenty-six weeks. She didn't say whether that was a bad thing or mention any complications it may entail so I guess it just is what it is. As I suspected, the placenta is posterior and my weight went up a few more pounds since my stall a week or so ago. I hate weighing in winter clothes...

So my husband is actually encouraging me to schedule another caesarean. Military people just looove having everything in an orderly, timely manner. *Eye Roll* I am not afraid of having the surgery itself (it's really not that bad) but, having just bought a house with a long staircase, I am concerned about the recovery. While DeWayne could help me get my son to school, he has to sleep during the day so I don't know how I'd get up and down stairs for things when I was alone with the baby while trying not to die of agony those first two weeks. God forbid I needed to carry Caroline up or down with me... And I don't relish the idea of having one of the grandmothers assist me. I love them but I don't want them around all the time. So I think I'm just going to pray I go into labor on my own. Since I can't be induced after having a caesarean, I can plan another surgery for, like, 41 weeks if she still hasn't come and I'm miserable . Does anyone have any tips and tricks (oils, massages, teas, whatever) I can start now or soon that might increase my odds of not being pregnant for 42 weeks again??
