So Monday night I had a touch of pink discharge in my pants, well blood. I worried a bit but didn't freak out. Went to bed. Tuesday morning woke up, nothing in my undies. I assumed everything was fine. A HR later went to the bathroom and was greeted with blood in my underwear. Enough to fill a pantyliner. I was like here we go! I called the OB office. Told them what was going on and that I am RH negative and that I needed a shot since I was having a miscarriage. So I went to the OB. To my surprise they wanted to do a ultrasound. I closed my eyes, I figured the damage was done. Well, there was a gestational sac and yoke sac. I was dumbfounded. So she couldn't find a baby yet or fetal pole due to his early I Am.. but all looked fine. I went and spoke with the nurse practitioner. She said everything looked fine with the pregnancy and it was a sit and wait game. I'm supposed to go back next week to see if there is a baby. Since then spotting has continued. Just enough to be on the toilet paper. Not as much as the first time around. Wth is going on?!?! This has never happened before. By her ultrasound I was 5 weeks 5 days so I'd be 6 weeks tomorrow. I really dont know what to think but I'm running to that bathroom constantly afraid of what I will see.. I'm not sure if I will be able to keep this pregnancy.

I was surprised that they didn't do a HCG test. I keep relying on pee sticks lol.. which doesn't tell me much. I'm going to hold out until Tuesday and see If there is a baby or not. It isn't too far from now. They did say if I get too anxious I can call them before then and they will get me in.

It may be worth asking for and hcg test to ease your mind and see if things are progressing and moving forward? If not, unfortunately it's just a waiting game. But if all looked good on the US, then that is a Huge plus!!!

Nope. They said the pregnancy looked fine. Looked at my ovaries too. Which one hurt more than the other the way she was doing the ultrasound stick which reminded me of when I had a ovarian cyst. So then I got to thinking what if i had a cyst that burst? I'd think they would have saw that though.

Did they say they saw the source of bleeding? Usually they can pinpoint it on an ultrasound. I’ve had some sort of bleeding 6/7 pregnancies and of the 6, only two ended in a MC. I’m the same way, running to the bathroom to see if it’s stopped. I know it’s silly to say not to stress about it cause you will, but hopefully the next ultrasound will show the heartbeat going nice and strong so you can relate a bit. It’s always hard when you see the spotting, hang in there girl!

This happened with my last pregnancy, and baby remained fine. I had low progesterone and then at 14 weeks a subchorionic hemorrhage was found (gone at 15 weeks). There can be other reasons for early spotting, i.e. no real explanation. It's great that you saw as much as you did on ultrasound at 5w5d. I hope you get good results next week.

So sorry for your scare. I dont know you. And I'm not preggo right now, but I do know that spotting in early pregnancy an be normal, even light bleeding. Just hold out and stay calm and see how things go. There are a lot of great ladies on here to offer support if you need it. If gets quiet on here sometimes.
