Welp, I just wanted to make a few notes about life in the Third Trimester.

1) I'm pretty sure I lost my mucous plug yesterday morning. It's gross, but I had been constipated 6 days. That morning I sat down on the toilet to wage righteous warfare against the blockage and was totally successful. But I guess all that activity down there dislodged the sucker. I'm only at week 34. But looking on various forum boards, it seems that many women lose theirs around this time or week 35 and don't start labor until after week 40. So losing it now has nothing to do with starting labor, just a sign that the body is starting to prepare. Maybe my cervix dilated a tad. But sex or a cervical exam can also dislodge it. So it's unremarkable. Just....weird to me as a first timer.

2) Baby is super active still. He rolls around all day and all night just about. The bump that tells me where his butt is moves up and side to side. It only disappears if he's breech. Just to the right of my belly button his his favorite resting spot for his butt. He has lately been spending more time on the left side lately, but that hurts really bad when he's over there. I think he's sitting on my sore IBS irritated intestine on the left.

3) The side-lying release exercise is more important as my lower back is always tense and hurting.

4) Hormones, you suck! I'm experiencing levels of depression and anxiety I have not felt in years. It's both alarming and familiar. A lot of it is brought on by the tough financial and career decisions I'm facing right now. It's an adjustment to realize that nothing, NOTHING is going to be the same after having kids. I have no regrets though, but feel as though I'm facing a wall at times. Hopefully, postpartum won't be this bad with such intense feelings of worthlessness. I even briefly had a suicidal thought yesterday. Ick! At least I know the symptoms. I talked to Josh about it, and didn't try to hold it inside. He was really helpful and I felt better later in the evening.

5) Went to the lake Sunday. The water felt great! But the baby hated me getting in the cool water at first and basically tried to climb up through my chest until he got used to it. Haha.
