Started Maternity Leave
I started my "maternity leave" early, since I got laid off Oct 1st from FBM. I decided this was the best decision for my baby, Justin and I. I have so many projects at home I'd like to take care of and having more free time allows me to enjoy this pregnancy to the fullest.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Heartbeat was 173 BPM. Midwife found it within 4 seconds, then lost it since our baby moved, and then found it again right away. It was the sweetest most emotional moment, I looked over at Justin and we both had happy tears in our eyes. I was feeling very scared to get doppler, but ended up being the happiest moment so far.

First Prenatal Appointment
I went in my first apt for routine blood work and pregnancy confirmation.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
I told my mom when she came over for her hair, and we told Justin's mom shortly before.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
It was the day before my missed period, I was coloring my hair in the bathroom, about to hop in the shower. I felt like I was going to get my period soon, since I was cramping and spotted a bit. Well, I was about to jump in the shower in the evening, and Justin was downstairs playing video games, and I decided "oh what the heck, I'll just take a quick one to rule it out". We had gotten back from our NC family vacation the 14th, about two weeks ago and we had been actually loosely preventing on vacation, since I had just had my fillings replaced on June 21st, and I was going through a detox program my naturopath recommended. I had cut out dairy and eggs a couple weeks before. So, I take the test, leave it sit there for like 2 mins, I look at it and see a faint line appearing, and I am in shock...I was scared, and excited all at once. I put the test in Justin's toothbrush holder and that is how I broke the news to him. On July 27, 2019 at 3 weeks 5 days pregnant
Told Husband/Partner
Told my husband the night I found out, I waited for him to come upstairs from playing video games, and I decided to put the clear blue test in the toothbrush holder, he went to brush his teeth and though the test was a tongue scraper, lol. He looked at it and said "no way!". He was very excited and a little scared as well like I was.
