I burst out laughing when I read this - but only because mine (my mother in law) does exactly the same!!!
Now ADD to that a cousin of my husband (who is 7 years YOUNGER than me) who has once aupaired for a baby boy.. and think she knows EVERYTHING.. - she keeps telling me to take baby to these classes and spend time doing this and that etc etc... gmpf.. I WORK FULL DAY so after maternity leave I will have to figure all that stuff out. She has never been pregnant/ had her own baby etc etc..
Drives me crazy that MIL says "her" baby and the know-it all family wants to play dolls with MY BABY (and she's not even here yet.....) grrrrrrrrr.......

Been there. My MIL went as far ad clearing her office for a very expensive decorated nursery...10 times better then at the time I could afford for my own kid..(this was m first child) She went out and bought better this and better that..It would drive me nuts. I think the nursery was the hard one. Specially because we only visited once every other week or so..for a few hours. I at the time felt like she was trying to one up me. Now, I just see that she was so excited for her first grand baby..she was nesting right along side me. I adore her now and appreciate that she made a beautiful environment at her house for my little angels. :) Hormones..get the best of us mamas..really all the way until your done breastfeeding..give or take a month or two. lol :)

Thanks I think you're probably right. I know she is just excited. She has always drove me nuts and adding pregnancy on top of that is making me pretty moody.

I think you may be just overemotional. I don't know if you really need him to talk to her about it. My MIL gets on my nerves too, but she's probably just excited about your baby. Try not to sweat the small stuff, I'm sure she isn't doing it to upset you.
