Q: Scheduled C-Section on my Husband's Birthday. Any ideas for a special gift for him?

So, my due date is September 7th. We decided to schedule my c-section for September 3rd (my Husband's birthday). I know that giving him a daughter will be the greatest gift in the world. However, I still want to do something special for him that day too. We are scheduled for 7:30am that morning, and have to be there at 5am. So, it's a very long day, all about the new baby. I am soooo excited for that day and to meet my daughter for the first time. I just want to make sure that I do something special for my husband also. Any ideas?

My daughter was born on my husbands birthday at the exact same time he was born. She was born sleeping, and the day was all about her, her first birthday will be a hard and sad birthday, but we still went out for my husbands birthday for tea, I really felt bad for him, but his first born daughter will always be the best and most privileged present he will ever get.

Maybe you can write him a letter telling him how much you love him and everything he means to you. Then right before you are wheeled into the operating room, you can surprise him with it! :)

lol, you are probably right hopefullll. I thought about maybe having one of his family members bring a small cake to the hospital that day with his name and our baby's name on it. I am sure I won't be able to have any of it, and may not even remember that someone brought it (I had a c-section with my first child and was pretty out of it afterwards), but at least it will be something small for him.

i promise you anything you give him will be small potatoes compared to a baby so definitely don't spend too much money lol.
