Also, there are a lot of ways that you can try to keep your stress under control - I have weekly acupuncture which really helps, and it allows the body to manage stress in pregnancy much better. From 16 wks, you can also do pregnancy yoga which also helps you to learn how to relax your breathing - it tightens your pelvic floor muscles too ;) Good luck x

Well he isn't in my environment most of the time, but he came back drunk from working away and it really upset me him being drunk. I threw him out of the house and said to come back when he was soba which he did.

Thankyou for the link i will send this to him. The NHS said stress doesn't effect pregnancy, but alot of what i've read says it does.

If i could control how i feel i would, but since being pregnant i feel alot more unable too.

I'm pretty sure that not everyone who is pregnant has a t-total partner. I'm sure there are other women who experience relationship ups and downs as well as a partner returning home drunk on a night occasionally. The decision we made to bring a baby into this world was out of a deep love and compassion for each other and a desire to have a family which is something we both want. We have been together over 10 years and have a stable relationship and work together to make things better for each other in our lives.

I agree with the others. You need to create a better environment for yourself and your growing baby. Either talk with your partner about these concerns or find a healthier place to stay for the duration of your pregnancy.

It is not good to be stressed often when pregnant because Cortisone and other stress hormones can lead to premature babies and other problems in pregnancy, as well as high blood pressure and other ailments for you. Here is a page on it from the March of Dimes that's pretty straightforward. I would encourage you to seek a better environment and talk to your doctor about your situation so they can try and help you. I'm sorry you are in such a difficult situation. http://www.marchofdimes.com/pregnancy/stress-and-pregnancy.aspx
