Q: Anyone at plus 2 station before labor begins? Seems really low to me.

I had my first pelvic check on Friday. I was 37 weeks and 3 days. He said the baby is very low, plus 2 station already and I'm 70% effaced however my cervix is still closed. Is this weird? Seems like she's really low before labor even started. I'm wondering how much longer I can expect before she arrives!

nah don't be worried, my friend had her baby at 37 weeks and he's 2 now. :) That's good baby is low! Will make labor and pushing VERY easy. My baby was at a minus two the entire time I was in labor dilated to 10 and completely effaced and everything and pushed for 2 hours and she was NOT budging. Had to have c-section. Be thankful baby is locked and loaded! haha. :) I imagine baby could come at any time. But...also... sometimes you can be dilated and effaced and not go into labor for a while too... I was at a 2 and 80% at 37, and see how mine turned out? lol Good luck mama!

It's not at all like a pap. They usually only do the pelvic checks before you're term if it's needed only. It's where they feel your cervix and check to see where the baby is in my birth canal.
