Q: Snoring Husband

I seriously cannot get a good nights sleep with his loud snoring! It drives me nuts! I felt like screaming at him and pushing him off the bed last night lol :) But I'm not that mean ;)

I decided to get some nose strips to help him with the snoring. They work alright but I can still hear him breathe loudly.

I told him to schedule an appointment with his doctor because there could be something wrong since his snoring sounds abnormal. He will stop breathing for a couple seconds and then loudly exhale. I'm worried so that keeps me up at night along with his loud snoring :/ I'm thinking it could be sleep apnea. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the responses ladies! Yeah it sucks when I have to get up to pee so much at night. I have to try to get back to sleep with all his snoring :/ What I did find that worked out for me last night is tuning him out. That is REALLY difficult but if I let my mind deeply wander, I can fall asleep! We have a fan but I don't think it's loud enough. A white noise generator sounds great. I am pushing him to go to the doctor. He is one of those guys that thinks that as long as he feels good, he doesn't need to see a doctor :/ But I explained to him why you should get check ups! lol So stubborn. Also, when the baby is sleeping, I don't want him to wake her up with his snoring so I will schedule an appointment with his doctor and make him go lol

This saved our marriage bed!! It is a white noise generator. As long as I fall asleep first, the white noise generator helps keep me asleep. When I wake up to pee, if husband starts storing, I roll him on his side, fall back asleep and again am kept soundly asleep by the noise cancellation. I have one for each of the bedrooms. http://www.amazon.ca/Marpac-Dohm-DS-Speed-Sound-Conditioner/dp/B000KUHFGM

My husband has the same issue and I suggested he behead himself last night or sleep in a sound proof bubble.
I use ear plugs. And I kick him a lot.

Part of it is weight. If my hubby lost about 10 lbs, he wouldn't snore as much. *sigh*

My mom, father in law, and brother in law all have sleep apnea. What you said sounds just like my sister talking about her husband. She wears ear plugs, he wears nose strips and she can still hear him snoring. I would have him go to the doctor and get tested for sleep apnea. They'll probably keep him for testing for an afternoon or night that will tell him how his breathing is and how many times he completely stops breathing. They could get a breathing machine that will help him throughout the night. Its not the most comfortable thing or most attractive either, lol. But, it will definitely help with his snoring as well.
