How is it up to her? Just curious? Aren't you allowed to have a say do in your reproductive decisions??

Hopefully it was kind of a joke, sorta sounds like maybe she was half way kidding?- If that's the case, she'll probably be very happy when you give her the news. Good luck :)

mine basically said the same thing but was supposedly happy when my husband told her. She has not talked to us about the baby or acknowledged the ultrasound photo though on facebook or real life.

LoL, Jenna!

I agree tho, I def wouldnt tell her. When we first told my M-I-L at 12wks (14yrs ago), she told me to abort the baby. We werent married and didnt own a house...good reasoning, eh?! Horrid woman!! She was even more upset when we announced he was a boy hahaha!
Dont let her take away ur sunshine...u go on to have a whole litter of kiddies if thats what u and ur hub want! It's not her choice, make that verrrrry clear to her!!
Good luck! Chin up!! =))

I wouldn't tell her. She's not in charge of your life. She'll find out eventually and it sounds like she wants a little attention about retiring. Good luck. She sounds like a piece of work.

I would just tell her. Sorry, it's not your decision to be done having a grandma. She can choose to be involved or not. But, I bet she will be excited still...

sucks to be her. She has a choice to be an awesome grandma or not, but not a grandmother all together. Dont sweat it :)

Um...it's not her choice? Honestly, if it were me I wouldn't tell her. I'd make it a point to tell everyone else and then when she gets pissy remind her of her comment. That kind of crap really gets to me though lol. I'm sorry she's so rude!
