Q: Need advice for current situation!!!

my boyfriend had a baby with an ex of his and didn't Know it was his because she slept with multiple people at the time. She just turned one and paternity was established. His mom and him have been trying to.get her several times and she keeps making excuses why she isnt bringing. Her over he hasnt went to court yet for visitation. He doesnt want Anything to do with his daughters mom she has been starting drama. This girl is a very irresponsible person she always has people watching her kids so she can go drink and what not. She Is pregnant again with another guys baby and they arent together now. Iam being.very supportive and respectful for the childs sake the babys mom doesnt like me.because he left her for me. She was talking to other men behind his back and having other guys come to her work and meet her at the mall etc. His mom wants full custody of the baby but here in illinois there are no grandparent rights. Can anyone give me advice on how to deal with this situation.

There is also a group that helps Dads through situations like this. Google around and you should find it. Or you can call up to the county that handles child support and they can tell you about it. I know it helped my brother out a lot.

He needs to file paperwork with the courts, that's the only way he can ensure his legal rights. If a parent wants to be in their child's life there are very few judges who wouldn't allow them to, if any...providing they're not a homeless douchebag, lol! If he files paperwork with the courts he should be able to get a temporary visitation schedule in place within a month or two. But without a court order, that b*tch can jerk you around as long as she wants to. Take her to court. Good luck!
