I agree about cleaning! I was barely dilated and nt having any contractions with my first at 38+6, I wrestled our king sized mattress off the bed to change the sheets on the box spring (I had my sisters helping me), and within 3 hours I was in labor, baby was born less than 12 hours from the mattress incident! Might be total coincidence, since it didn't work for my second, but good luck!

I went to the doctor 2 days before my due date - I was told it would be at least another week. I went home and cleaned. A LOT! lol - went into labor 4 am that morning. :) Had my girl (who's now alomost 7) 12 hours later.

I shampooed all my carpets, including lugging the heavy machine up and down the stairs, and a little over 24 hrs later my water broke. Maybe try something that requires a lot of physical exertion? I know it's probably the last thing you want to do when you're super pregnant but for me it worked.

Nipple stimulation is supposed to help. If you have a breast pump you can try that on yourself. When they were trying to induce my labor the breast pump really helped me get some good contractions started. There are a lot of things I am sure you can find if you google... not sure if they really work though. Have you asked for your membranes to be stripped or anything like that?
