Q: High HGC can it still work?

So i’m estimated to be about 5wk 6days today , I went to the emergency room to check up on a suspected bladder infection. Turns out I did have one and was perscribed antibiotics. I also however, was given an ultrasound and was told that I might miscary if I haven’t already. My hgc levels are at 32,000 but after ultrasound they only found a small sac and no yolk or pole. Is there any hope ? I was told levels would drop and to check up in a week.

I'd say you have LOTS of hope. It's still So early! High hcg could mean there are two little ones hiding from you still :) Without actually measuring the dropping hcg, I'd still hold out hope.

@ babylove14 , they performed both vaginal and abdominal. I have not had any signs of miscarriage except for some cramping which I think is from my UTI. I’m hoping alll goes well and willl follow up in about a week with my OB. I’m just nervous and hope the baby wasn’t lost . I’ve read a lot of cases where the baby could just be too small and that’s what i’m praying for

Was this an abdominal or vaginal ultrasound? It's possible that they just couldn't see the baby because you're early, especially in an abdominal ultrasound. Emergency rooms aren't good at dealing with pregnancy. Definitely follow up with your doctor.
