Morning Sickness Is Kicking my BUTT
By SarahEMcCormick » Posted Sep. 12, 2015 9:53pm - 244 views - 2 comments
I have had the worst morning sickness literally all day today and most the day yesterday, and a bit over the last few days, that I have had my entire pregnancy. No matter what I do, what I eat, what I drink, it's hitting me hard. I think on Monday I am going to need to call my midwife and take her up on the prescription she was trying to give me for nausea. I can't take it anymore. It's brutal. It's affecting every aspect of my life at this point; and I'm afraid I don't see an end to the sickness in sight. Most people have their sypmtoms subside by now or at least next week; my poor mother had it the entire 9 month duration with her first child, my brother. I can't even imagine dealing with this for that long :(
I need tips and advice aside from what I've been doing to deal, which is:
Ginger tea
ginger snaps
cool room temp water
crackers
dry toast
eating small frequent meals throughout the day
Anything else??

Comment from pbc910 » Posted Sep. 14, 2015 8:20am Try vitamin B6. I was given it at my first appt (at 6 weeks) and was told it would help my morning sickness. For having twins, I was not really sick at all. I felt yucky and food lost it's appeal. I might have been nauseous a couple times but nothing like was expected and I contribute it to the B6. Although mine was a prescription, you can get it over the counter at most stores (grocery, Target, Walmart, etc.). It's worth a try and extra vitamin B can't hurt! | |
Comment from kristi_623 » Posted Sep. 13, 2015 3:39pm I had horrible morning sickness with my daughter and had to take Zofran just to be able to eat anything. After I started taking it I still lived on jello and ice water for a couple weeks. It was weird because prior to that, I hated plain water with a passion then I got sick and I craved it. |
