Q: Going for induction this evening

2 weeks of intense regular contractions and no cervical change. Doctors are admitting me to hospital tonight to start induction.

Anyone been induced and how long should i expect it to take to kick start my labour properly?

With my first, I was induced at about 12pm and had him at 9:21pm. So a little over 9 hours with him, but everyone is different. If you get the epiderial it may stall your labor a bit. But beware, the contractions come fast with being induced. I felt them within an hour or two. Good luck girl! Hope everything goes great:)

i was induced with my first. In total it took 10 hours from the time I started to the time my son was born. It kicks in pretty quickly once they start, and it depends if your water breaks naturally or if the doc breaks your water. My OB broke my water after 6 hours, then poof 4 hours later my son was born. Best of luck and congrats!!
