Q: Signs that Labor is on its way?

Im due on Wednesday the 21st. I havent had contractions since Thursday. However, I been nonstop with bowel movement (sorry TMI) all day the past 2 days. Yesterday I was extremely lazy more than any other day. Today I woke up feeling like I got jumped or was in some kind of accident. My entire body is so sore.
Did this happen to anyone else before they went into Labor?

I've heard that emptying bowels could well be a sign that labour is approaching. No experience with that personally, though that's exactly what happens when I was menstruating, so it all makes sense to me. (I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and would have very heavy periods with clots and intense cramping. I would completely empty my bowels over a few hours - going to the toilet 7-8 times over 2-3 hours.) Good luck!

My first came three weeks early, 2nd 4 days early, and third a week late. First two my only inclination was losing my plug and they came within 24 hours. I never dilated or contracted till then. My third was different but they say the more you have, that tends to happen. Plus I was taking evening primrose oil and raspberry leaf tea so who knows how that changed it up for me :). Point is, you'll have a clue by losing your plug, like the other lovely lady said, and you'll start to know with contractions getting stronger and more frequently. With your BMs, it might be indicating its close by. Usually I get my second wind of energy right before labor but everyone is different. Hopefully you're in your way! GL

In my opinion you are in the hardest part of pregnancy! Wondering when its going to happen and every little thing making you wonder if its getting close. Losing your mucus plug is a good sign that you are not far (and by far I mean hours or days) from starting to feel some contractions. Most of the time for FTM's baby is well past the due date before making an appearance, my first was 12 days late. My best advice is to keep busy, try not to analyze every little thing and prepare to go past your due date. GL!
