Q: removing hair while pregnant? TMI

I was wondering how women remove hair when pregnant. Using Nair or Veet safe for private part? I'm 2 months pregnant, I'm so bloated that I can barely bend down. Sorry TMI. How do women remove hair in their late pregnancy especially with a big belly?

DO NOT use any hair removal product that is no specifically for the panty line! I don't know that it would harm the baby but it will burn like a muth-a! I tried it once & was in terrible pain for a week. Waxing I believe is safe as long as you go to someone reputable. The biggest cause for concern is infection. I say cut yourself a break and go a little furry (lol) I bought a cheapo electric razor ($8 at target) and maintain enough to stay presentable...and I swim 3x a week, no one has gone screaming for the hills yet! ;-)

ahhh glad someone answered this question, i think we all have this issue, as someone mentioned above you can try blind shaving yikes or waxes, which hurt much more during pregnancy bc all of your blood flow is mainly going down there.
i asked my husband to be but he wont do it cuz hes scared so i asked my best friend of 8 yrs (who has kids and understands) ....she said yes, maybe you have a good close friend you can ask, hey its better than being a hairy mary...LOL...
but if your not comfortable doing that go for waxing I WOULDNT USE NAIR OR STUFF DOWN THERE BEING PREGNANT UNLESS DRS SAY ITS OK

I use a mirror on a stand in the shower so I can see...you know the ones that magnify one side and not the other. Just set it on the edge of the tub, you may have to wipe the fog away from the steam and you can see perfectly what you are doing!

I have learned how to shave blind! its the only way...although now its even hard to reach over or even around the bump so i'm sure theres bits I've missed :)

I'm also struggling now to see my "bits" lol Comes with being pregnant I suppose!

I keep saying to myself ok, we'll go back to waxing again, but i'm really impatient and don't like waiting for the hair to grow to an adequate length.

Only the past few weeks have I noticed it becoming a struggle to use a razor so I doubt I will be doing that for many weeks more.

I'm just going to have to deal with the hair growth then go see my beautician!!

Also when you are preggers beauticians are really nice and gentle with your "lady bits" lol

This is a great question that I actually would love suggestions as well. lol because I am 25 weeks 3 days I cannot see my lady parts anymore so I have no idea whats going on down there at all. Unfortunately for me my husband is over in Korea right now so its just me.. i may just end up being a really hairy lady. ha.

I think ever since I had my first son 4 years ago I've shaved blind. I've just done it for so long that way, that even before this new bump (which is still tiny) I just don't even look anymore, and I'm very slender, so I could if I wanted to. Habit I guess. No cuts. Just practice :)

As for depilatory creams, here is what the American Pregnancy Association website says: "The main concerns with depilatories during pregnancy are the active ingredients barium sulfide powder and calcium thioglycolate. There is no evidence that they are harmful during pregnancy, but there have been no studies that prove they are safe either." So it's really your decision.

I am 6 months and I cant see my private area if i bend over a slightly to see it painful the best way is to sit on the toilet and have hand mirror and do it that way I do it that way and in the shower or you can get your bf or husband to shave you if he's good at it and takes his time!
